Financial Report - March 2014

Financial report for the month of March 2014 (last month). Trade oriented since trading is how I make virtually all of my ISK.

I buy and sell faction/deadspace/officer mods, ships, skill-books and implants with traders covering all 5 main trade hubs (Jita, Amarr, Dodixie,  Hek and Rens) plus secondary hubs in most other empire regions. I have 24 active traders, 3 on Jita (one each for mods, implants and skillbooks), 2 in another region, another 19 each covering a different region and a couple spare traders that are not actively trading.

In March, I spent an hour or two a day working the market and made a profit of 47 billion after expenses.

Current net worth is 506 billion with about half in cash and market escrow. Most of the rest is in sell orders and recently acquired stock I haven't gotten around to posting for sale yet. Very little is in assets I don't intend to sell soon, with maybe 4 billion worth of ships and mods I keep for my own use and a small stockpile of PLEX worth another 5-10 billion.

That's my actual current total net worth after expenses. It's how much I actually have right now, not just a running total of how much I've made (before expenses) over the course my Eve career. There's a big difference!

PS: I thought about posting an April Fools Day joke utilizing a 500 billion ISK sell order to break 1 trillion ISK. In the end I figured that'd be a little too obvious and an obvious joke just wasn't worth throwing 3.75 billion in broker fees down the drain for.

  1. How much ISK would you say you have that is never invested and so sitting doing nothing? And, secondly, what do you plan to do with that ISK to make it work for you?

    . . . . And well done on reaching 500bn ISK!

    1. None. It's all working for me.

ISK in the wallet isn't doing nothing, it's covering the additional escrow that needs to be paid whenever something is bought. But I usually have around 150 billion in liquid, or 5+ billion on each active trader. 5 billion per trader is just a nice number that lets me cover buying for several days without going into panic mode transferring ISK and updating orders every time one of them buys a billion or 2 worth of stock.

Granted I could reduce how much I hold back significantly but it wouldn't make much difference other than forcing me to spend more time updating orders more frequently. Keep in mind that with Margin Trading V 100 billion in escrow is over 400 billion in additional escrow and over 500 billiion in buy orders.

Right now I have 151 mil liquid, 111 mil in escrow and 451 mil additional escrow.
